Delete your data
from Algonet Pass

How to erase everything the Algonet Pass app by Algonet Ltd (Android package net.algonet.algonetpass) holds about you, what disappears when you do, and what your organisation keeps afterwards.

Effective date: 27 July 2026 · Last updated: 27 July 2026

There is no account to close. Algonet Pass has no user accounts of its own, and Algonet Ltd operates no server behind it and holds no data about you. Everything the app creates lives on your own phone, plus one device registration on your organisation's server. You delete both yourself, from inside the app, and neither needs a request to us.

1. Delete one registration

This is the normal route, and it removes both halves at once: the keys on the phone and the registration on the server.

  1. Open Algonet Pass on your phone.
  2. Tap Manage registrations on the welcome screen.
  3. Tap the system you want to remove.
  4. Confirm with Remove registration, then with your fingerprint, face or screen lock.

The app deletes the key and the registration record from the phone, and tells the server to revoke that device. If the server cannot be reached at that moment, the app offers to remove the registration from the phone only; the server-side record then stays until an administrator revokes it, and the phone can no longer use it either way.

2. Delete everything at once

Uninstall the app. Uninstalling erases its encrypted storage together with every key, registration and preference inside it. The app writes nothing outside its own storage and backs nothing up to any cloud — automatic backup is switched off in the app itself, so no copy survives on Google Drive or iCloud.

Uninstalling does not tell the servers anything. If you want the registrations revoked as well, remove them as described in section 1 before you uninstall, or ask the organisation's administrator to revoke the device.

3. What is deleted, and what is kept

DataWhere it isWhat happens
Device private key Your phone, in encrypted storage Deleted immediately. It never left the phone, so there is no copy anywhere else.
Registration record: system identifier and name, host address, registration token, the server's public key, and the account name that system returned Your phone, in encrypted storage Deleted immediately.
Language preference Your phone Deleted when the app is uninstalled.
Device registration: the phone's public key and its token, linked to your account Your organisation's server Revoked immediately when you remove the registration. A revoked device can no longer approve any sign-in.
Sign-in and registration audit entries: who signed in, when, and from which addresses Your organisation's server Kept. These are security records and are not ours to erase — see below.
Any data held by Algonet Ltd None exists. The app sends nothing to us, so we have nothing to delete.

Retention of the records that are kept

Your user account and the sign-in audit trail belong to the organisation that issued you the account — your employer or client — and sit on its own server. That organisation is the data controller: it sets the retention period and can erase the records on request. Algonet Ltd neither sets that period nor has access to those records, so we cannot state a single number here that would be true for every installation.

To have them erased, contact the organisation whose system you signed in to. If you are not sure whom to ask, write to us at hello@algonet.co.uk and we will point you to the right place.

4. If you cannot use the app

A lost, broken, wiped or already-uninstalled phone cannot revoke its own registration. Ask the administrator of the system you were signed in to revoke the device; a revoked registration cannot approve anything, even if someone still holds the phone. If you cannot reach an administrator, write to hello@algonet.co.uk with the name of the organisation and we will forward the request. We answer within 30 days, and normally within a few working days.
